This painting is the output from a two part workshop I took with David Lobenberg. Below is the "draft" painting we did on the first day.
The goal for me in taking this workshop was to get more efficient. I tend to spend a lot of time on details that nobody else is aware of. (Check out shadows separating the 2"x6"s on thrird creek bridge and the corresponding light below it.) The two barn pictures were completed in under 5 hours each. About one quarter the time similar paintings have taken. I also learned a lot about mixing color from a limited pallet.
